The series has had various sponsors: Cadbury's chocolate (1996-2007), Harveys The Furniture Store (2007-2012), Comparethemarket.com (2012-2020) and Nectar points at Argos (2021-present). From 2017 Costa Cofffee cups began appearing on-screen, with a branch opening on Victoria Street the following year. At the same time retailers Co-op also established a product placement deal with the show, resulting in a Weatherfield outlet and prominently-displayed shopping bags, whilst online estate agents Purple Bricks were prominently seen to be handling the sale of the Rovers Return in 2021.
