In this TV series, Edwin Alva Jr. became a villain named Omnifarious in order to get back at his browbeating father. Like his father, Edwin Alva Sr., the character appeared in another one of Milestone Media's comic book series featuring another hero named Hardware. In the comics, Edwin Alva Jr. did not appear until after a reformed Edwin Sr. died a heroic death, then he became an ally of Hardware.
