Gorr (in address to Thor) and Thor (in address to Jane Foster) iterate the parts of Commodus's famous quote (in address to Maximus) "How dare you show your back to me!..." and "...Slave, you will remove your helmet and tell me your name" from the Il gladiatore (2000). Notably, Russell Crowe, who played Maximus in the Gladiator, played a role in Thor: Love and Thunder too.
