Abner Goldstein, the team nerd, started out way cooler, and in the pilot is described as a young Baby Face Nelson. This continued for several episodes, as he would playfully spar with Hayward, and has a cool demeanor. By the end of the first season he's a full blown geek, awkward. The first episode to center on his character, at the end of Season 1, has him not being able to fit in with the team. But in the beginning of the series he fit in just fine. And had far more lines and screen time than Salami.
