Creator Eric Kripke's original choice for the Winchesters' car was a 1965 Mustang. He changed his mind after a neighbor said to him that it has to be a '67 Chevy Impala, "because you can put a body in the trunk. You want a car that, when people stop next to it at lights, they lock their doors."
