According to an article in American Cinematographer (Vol. 31, No. 6), footage of the racetracks at Auteuil, Chantilly, and Laffitte were shot during the summer of 1949 by an American crew headed by Norbert Brodine and Dewey Wrigley. Completing these scenes, Wrigley then took six cameras and a camera crew to the Merano racetrack in Italy.
