The original vocal recording of the iconic Scorpion line, "Get Over Here!" which aired in the trailer for the movie was met with mixed/generally negative responses from fans. In the film, the dialogue is re-recorded and run through a different sound filter to lean more favourably towards the delivery from the game, originally voiced by Ed Boon, one of the creators of Mortal Kombat.
