During production, Mark Hamill was watching Bottom: Dough (1995) whilst exercising on a treadmill and cracked up laughing over a scene which caused him to fall off the treadmill and injure himself. Adrian Edmondson (Captain Peavey) was the co-creator and star of Bottom (1991) which he played Eddie Hitler in that sitcom.
