Of the characters who were in both Star Trek (1966) and Star Trek II - L'ira di Khan (1982), only Mr. Sulu has never been face-to-face onscreen with Khan. George Takei was in many season one episodes of the original series as Mr. Sulu, but Space Seed (1967) was not one of them, thereby making Takei the only actor not to work with Ricardo Montalban in both the episode that introduced Khan and this film.
