The American Mutoscope and Biograph Company's gangster film short The Musketeers of Pig Alley (1912) influenced Martin Scorsese's gangster films Quei bravi ragazzi (1990) and Gangs of New York (2002). Scorcese chose it for his 2005 tribute at Beaubourg (1977) in Paris. Biograph, America's oldest movie company, is still in business.
