The character of Leslie Larr is based on the Kryptonian villain Lesla-Lar, a mad scientist from the Bottle City of Kandor who grew jealous of Supergirl and tried to take her place and kill Superman. This character was erased from continuity following the Crisis on Infinite Earths, while Leslie's television debut comes post-Crisis on Supergirl: Crisis on Infinite Earths: Part One (2019), Batwoman: Crisis on Infinite Earths: Part Two (2019), The Flash: Crisis on Infinite Earths: Part Three (2019), Arrow: Crisis on Infinite Earths: Part Four (2020) and Legends of Tomorrow: Crisis on Infinite Earths: Part Five (2020).
