Originally, Danny and Vicky were going to be married on the show during Season 7, however when Gail Edwards' contract expired and she didnt renew, the producers changed the storyline and made them break their engagement and remain friends. Fans at first were a bit outraged because the girls (DJ, Stephanie, Michelle) would finally have a mother figure in their lives and Danny would have been happy.
