In 2017, Sheldon Cooper got his own spin-off series which is a prequel to the sitcom entitled Young Sheldon (2017). The prequel series follows the irritating theoretical physicist when he was a child genius living in Texas and his family's struggles to deal with him. As of 2018, Sheldon Cooper is the only character in the sitcom to get his own spin-off.
