Sekhmet, is named after an Egyptian goddess often depicted as a lioness. For this reason, it was theorized by many that Sekhmet, who was being monitored at a Monarch outpost in Cairo, Egypt, may be a lion-like Titan. This was later confirmed by Dougherty, who likened Sekhmet to a lioness or a Sphinx in a reply to a comment on Instagram. Since the myths about Sekhmet were inspired by the actual Titan, this raises questions about other similarities the mythological goddess and the MonsterVerse creature might share. In the myths, Sekhmet is said to be responsible for the creation of the Sahara Desert, which she made with her hot breath. Something like this being true for the MonsterVerse may seem like a stretch, but it's important to note Titans can indeed change the environment. KOTM's made this clear in the credits, with just one example being Behemoth's role in rejuvenating the Amazon rainforest.
