At the 2022 San Diego Comic-Con, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power panel in Hall H contained many surprises, including the panel being moderated by Tolkien superfan Stephen Colbert, and series composer Bear McCreary leading a 40-piece orchestra and 15-vocalist choir (the first time an orchestra has ever performed in Hall H at Comic-Con).
