All within one day,Byron writes the Hamlet-inspired play, and apparently without any rehearsal, the next day the gang puts on the play in full costume. It is never really made clear why the intended victim (the band leader) shows up to view the play. Supposedly he was scheduled to be there to play music but he doesn't play any music.
