The opening animation for all color versions of "The Wild Wild West" includes panels that are blue, red, and white. So in a sense, the colors and panels used in the opening are a rough version of the U. S. flag. As the animation continues to be replaced, each panel takes on a red color. This possibly indicates the resulting chaos that James West and Artemis Gordon are sent to investigate.
