This film; the second in its trilogy; was shot at Fox Studios Australia immediately after Moulin Rouge, also starring Ewan McGregor. The second film in the original trilogy, Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back, was shot at Elstree Studios in London, right after Stanley Kubrick's The Shining. In fact, the Hoth sets recycled much of the fake snow. The Shining was followed by a sequel, Doctor Sleep, also starring Ewan McGregor.
