When Riddler is caught by police in a corner diner, law enforcement find several identification cards on his person. One of them says "Edward Nashton" referencing the New Earth version of The Riddler who would eventually go on to change his name to Edward Nygma. Another ID card says "Patrick Parker" which is an alias long thought to have been used in the comics, although nobody could name a single issue where it happened. It wasn't until Alex Jaffe, who worked for the DC Comics webpage, tried to research where the name came from, that the truth came out. Turns out that in November of 2013, some unknown prankster edited Riddler's Wikipedia page to add "Patrick Parker" to his aliases. Without adding citation. People then started taking that Wikipedia page (or each other) as fact, assuming that if it's written on the internet, it must be true. And yet it never was.
