Both this series and Get Smart (1965) premiered on NBC the same night back-to-back, on September 18, 1965. Both shows lasted five seasons (though the final season of Get Smart aired on CBS), had female leads named Barbara (Eden on this series, Feldon on Get Smart), produced 139 episodes, and killed the romantic tension between the two leads characters by having them marry, thus constructively ending each show (Jeannie and Major Anthony Nelson in this series' fifth and final season, Maxwell Smart and Agent 99 in Get Smart's fourth season).
