The series was parodied in "Gli antenati: The Rolls Rock Caper (1965)," where Fred and Barney were recruited to help wealthy private eye Aaron Boulder, who would frequently share a pearl of wisdom and tag it as "Boulder's Rule." Both series aired on ABC at the time.
