Somewhat unusually for a comedic duo, where generally actors tend to reprise the part of the "straight man" and the "funny man", each movie of the "Cornetto Trilogy" features a different dynamic between the characters played by co-stars Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. In L'alba dei morti dementi (2004), Pegg plays an average schlubby guy and Frost an irresponsible manchild. In Hot Fuzz (2007) Pegg plays an uptight professional and Frost an average schlubby guy. In La fine del mondo (2013), Pegg plays the irresponsible one and Frost the straight man.
