Kherishu Varishu...Lyricist Gulshan Bawra came up with phrase used in the title of this song after an incident in Kashmir in which he overheard two men talking and misunderstood one of them saying "Can I shoot?" and the other replying "Yes, shoot.". It was only later that he understood the words they had actually exchanged. In Kashmiri, "kherishu" means "How are you?" and "varishu" means "I am fine".
