When the four Hobbits are hiding underneath the grass verge early in the movie, the black rider approaches above them. There is a gap between the tree and the pathway to the right of the screen in which you should see the rider pass through before entering the center of the screen, however he does not pass through it. This may be deliberate, however, to further illustrate the unnatural abilities of the Nazgul by showing him appear unexpectedly, and pass by unseen.
