In Star Wars: Rebels: Twilight of the Apprentice: Part 2 (2016), there's a scene that mirrors the final part of season 1. Ahsoka Tano cuts open the right side of Vader's mask in a duel while Obi-Wan cuts open the left side. Both battles involved a former master fighting their former apprentice, and in both instances, a brief moment of Anakin appears before his evil Darth Vader persona takes over.
