During the opening of the film, (about 23 seconds in) as the camera leaves Jeff's apt. and follows a cat for a moment across the courtyard, and then when it tilts upwards and pans to the left, towards the top apartments, you see a mysterious flash of light, for a moment, in one of the top windows. (possibly the bathing beauties apt.) Strangely enough, this apartment is never mentioned in the film, or the flash explained..
