During filming of the scene where King Kong falls asleep on Faro Island, Shoichi Hirose recalled being in the suit for 3 hours while possibly the other portion of the scene was simultaneously being filmed at another soundstage. By the time filming was done, sweat came pouring out like a flood and got into Hirose's eyes.
