Beloved Italian TV host Fabrizio Frizzi voiced Woody for the first three movies in his native Italy. Unfortunately, his untimely and sudden death in 2018 required a recast for the role. Voice actor Angelo Maggi was chosen as a replacement, as he's the usual Italian voice for Tom Hanks. The closing credits for the Italian version included a tribute to Frizzi, with a title card reading "Grazie Fabrizio" (Thanks Fabrizio).
