Michael Cavanaugh (Sheriff George Patterson/Andre DuPres) appeared in a 1990 episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987). Both Stefan Gierasch (Dr. Dave Woodard/Joshua Collins) and Jean Simmons (Elizabeth Collins Stoddard/Naomi Collins) appeared in separate episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation in 1991. Julianna McCarthy (Mrs. Johnson/Abigail Collins) played the recurring role of the Cardassian Mila during the last four seasons of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (1993). Ben Cross (Barnabas Collins) portrayed Sarek, Spock's father in the reboot movie Star Trek (2009). Six actors from the original series also appeared in the Star Trek franchise.
