The masters to Jay Chattaway's often requested score are missing at the moment due to the original master tapes being under someone's control. Fania Records released a soundtrack featuring the songs of Willie Colon and Hector Lavoe, who were very popular at the time which did not feature any of the original score. Director William Lustig has vowed to find those tapes and get the soundtrack released.
