Interestingly enough, Peter Falk's first outing ("Prescription Murder" in 1968) and final outing ("Columbo Likes the Nightlife" in 2003) as Lt. Columbo were two of the very few episodes/adventures where the character took at least half an hour (30 minutes) to first appear onscreen.
