In the film, whenever anyone who wears The Mask gets injured in a severe or fatal manner, they show no signs of being injured and are shown to be basically indestructible. However, in the first three volumes of the original comic book, whenever anyone who wears The Mask gets injured in a severe or fatal manner, their blood and organs spill out. Yet, they quickly regenerate and recover in a similar fashion to other comic book characters such as Wolverine, Lobo, Deathstroke, and Deadpool.
