Dench is the fourth most frequent actor or actress to appear in the franchise, after third-placed Bernard Lee, who portrayed M in 11 movies, second-placed Lois Maxwell who played Miss Moneypenny in 14 films, and first-placed Desmond Llewelyn who was Q in 17 movies.
