The film's World Charity Premiere was held on 23rd October 1980 at Loew's State Theatre in Times Square, New York City. Proceeds from the Gala Charity Premiere Benefit went to aid the Mother Cabrini Medical Center which had provided the filming location for the hospital scenes in the movie, and had been billed in the closing credits as the Mother Cabrini Hospital.
