As of season 12, only two contestants have ever been asked to leave the show when not in the bottom. Willam Belli was disqualified in season 4 due to breaking the rules and David Huggard (Eureka O'Hara) was eliminated in season 9 on medical grounds. Huggard was given an open invitation by RuPaul, upon their elimination, to return for season 10, which they did, ultimately placing as a runner-up, alongside Dane Young (Kameron Michaels), to Giovanni Palandrani (Aquaria).
