In the original draft script, Mindy and Chad's last name was "Meeks-Martinez" and their father, named Carlos, made an appearance in the house with Martha. Instead, only Martha appeared while the father's appearance was scrapped and the "Meeks-Martinez" was shortened to just "Meeks-Martin."
