After the first season, Butch Hartman and Seth MacFarlane went to work on other shows such as I Griffin (1999) and American Dad! (2005) (for Fox) and Due Fantagenitori (2001) and Danny Phantom (2003) (for Nickelodeon) and series creator Van Partible left Cartoon Network after he was fired. (Meanwhile John McIntyre was later moved to Il laboratorio di Dexter (1996) in the middle of the second season after the first season of the series was cancelled.) He was replaced by Kirk Tingblad, who was working on Warner Bros. shows such as I misteri di Silvestro e Titti (1995) in the show's second and third season including Jed Spingarn and Gene Grillo, while the two later began working on shows such as Le avventure di Jimmy Neutron (2002), Back at the Barnyard (2007) and I Thunderman (2013) for Nickelodeon. Meanwhile, after Cartoon Network Studios' animation division Hanna-Barbera shut down following the death of Joseph Barbera in 2001 (which was folded into Warner Bros. Animation in this period), Partible returned to the show's fourth season in 2004, which had no surprise whatsoever since the original first season three years prior.
