This series' take on the DC villain Reign is strongly similar to Doomsday's storyline in Smallville (2001): both live on Earth as ordinary, benevolent humans until they discover their true evil nature as beings sent to Earth alongside Kal-El and Kara Zor-El to destroy it. Furthermore, Sam Witwer who played Davis Bloome/Doomsday also guest stars.
