At the U.K. box office, the movie "is currently the third highest grossing movie of all time, behind Avatar (2009) and Skyfall (2012)." At the U.S. box office, with around a $176 million take, this movie is the second-highest grossing James Bond movie after Skyfall (2012), overtaking Casino Royale (2006) ($167 million), and Quantum of Solace (2008) ($168 million).
