(1971) The world premiere of the stage version of "Grease" opened Feb. 5 and was produced in Chicago by the Kingston Mines Theatre Company of whose acting ensemble creators Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey were members and June Pyskacek was founding director. Guy Barile directed the show, Rick Paul designed the set and Ronna Kaye choreographed it. The cast: Doug Stevenson (Danny), Leslie Goto (Sandy), Susan Williams (Rizzo), Gary Houston (Roger), Hedda Lubin (Frenchy), James Canning (Doody), Marilu Henner (Marty), Gerald Bolnick (Sonny), Sheila Ray Ceaser (Jan), Bill Cervetti (Miller), Polly Pen (Patty), Bruce Hickey (Kenickie), Judy Brubaker (Miss Lynch) and Steve Munro (Eugene).
