The name of the song featuring the words "Pink Cadillac" that Bernadette Peters sings was "Baby Let's Play House". The song was first recorded in 1954 and was written by Arthur Gunter. The Elvis Presley version that Peters sings a few lines from in the film replaces the Gunter song lyric "You may get religion" with the phrase "You may have a Pink Cadillac". The song though is not featured on the movie's soundtrack.
