It was criticized that when Claire releases the T. Rex from its pen that it should catch her. "Rexy", as she is known, has been trained for ten years that she can expect food with a flare, and as you see her behind Claire running it appears to just show her walking behind. When Claire throws the flare at the Indominus Rex, this cause Rexy to believe it to be food, as it would have never seen a creature like that before.
