On the 19th of July 2022 Johnny Pizarro, a parking attendant was shot and killed while on set during the production of the third season premiere episode Law & Order: criminalitàorganizzata: Gimme Shelter - Part One (2022). As a result, filming was temporarily suspended while the police investigated. According to reports, Pizarro had been smoking marijuana with a fellow crew member shortly before he was shot and killed. A GoFundMe was set up by Pizarro's attorney for his estate to help support his wife and six children in the aftermath of his death.
