With the release of the Digital Movie Collection in 2015, the Twentieth Century Fox fanfare was removed from this movie and its predecessor. The ending of the track "The Rebel Fleet/End Title" from L'Impero colpisce ancora (1980) now plays over the Lucasfilm logo. Guerre stellari (1977) retained the fanfare, as Twentieth Century Fox owned distribution rights to the movie at that time. However, the June 2018 buyout of Twentieth Century Fox by the Walt Disney Company means that Disney now owns everything relating to Star Wars, lock, stock, and barrel.
