Thor, having lost his hammer Mjölnir in Thor: Ragnarok (2017), constructs a new hammer known as Stormbreaker in this movie. Stormbreaker is named for the Asgardian hammer given to Thor's comrade Beta Ray Bill. It is a war hammer-axe, based on the Marvel Ultimate Mjölnir.
