Events that featured as part of the ironman surf lifesaving Coolangatta Gold competition, according to the DVD sleeves notes, included "combining a 20 kilometre beach run, 6 kilometre swim and a 17 kilometre surf ski from Surfers Paradise [in Queensland, Australia] all the way along the beach to Coolangatta [in Queensland, Australia] and back to the start" in a marathon race.
