In a recent documentary about the making of this movie; Linda Blair said director John Boorman approached her and said, "I want you to learn tap dancing for this movie. I think Regan needs to tap dance in this movie.". And Blair laughed in his face and said "Regan ain't no tap dancer." And yet, there she is at the beginning, tapping away.
