The super-villain group named the Meta-Breed was created for the TV series and did not appear in the comics. The version of it that first fought Static consisted of Ebon, Talon, Shiv and a reluctant new member, D-Struct (Derek Barnett). This group of Bang Babies were deformed by the Big Bang gas and forced to go underground to live in an old Milestone St. abandoned subway station.
