When Shashi Kapoor was making Ajooba around the same time Marathi actor,director Mahesh Kothare was making Dhadakebaaz 1990 which had special effects never seen in Marathi films.Mahesh Kothare needed 10 to 20 blue tins a material required for special effects but the dealer told him that they can't sell 10 to 20 as it comes in quantity of 100.A big quantity was not required for him. He came to know that Shashi Kapoor is directing Ajooba 1991 and requires such tins for special effects he met Shashi Kapoor and told him about his film.Shashi Kapoor purchased 100 tins gave 20 to Mahesh Kothare and kept rest for his film.
