When Jack is repairing drone 166, he sees a sign for the 2017 Super Bowl and begins to recall the ending of the game. Super Bowl LI in 2017 was between the New England Patriots and the Atlanta Falcons. Although the game-winning touchdown score was made by running back James White rather than a rookie receiver, the Patriots scored 31 unanswered points to win the game in overtime after being down 28-3 in the 3rd quarter, making it the largest scoring deficit ever overcome in Super Bowl history, in addition to having more than 30 records either broken or tied, and making it a truly classic game by Jack's estimation. The game was played in Houston's NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas, however, rather than MetLife Stadium, the arena used by New York City football teams and the stadium closest to the Empire State Building.
